Role Overview
This position involves providing direct patient care in a General Medicine unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. The role requires developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and considering patients’ psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree
- RN license required
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2 years of experience
- Experience in medical-surgical or oncology nursing is advantageous
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness
