Role Overview: The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to meet patients’ physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure adherence to unit standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Deliver direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness and modify care accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and team members to resolve patient needs.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making, quality, and safety initiatives.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper handling.
- Promote a high standard of patient safety and satisfaction through compassionate care.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have graduate training in nursing, with strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively, problem-solve, and participate in evidence-based practices is essential.
Additional Details: The role involves working in private and semi-private rooms with a patient population that includes acute and chronic conditions, particularly surgical orthopedic cases. Onsite therapy and 24/7 hospitalist services support patient care. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.
