Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment, focusing on surgical procedures such as abdomen, pelvis, GYN, urology, and general surgery. The role requires assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and cultural factors.
- Participate in professional development and activities that enhance care quality and safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensure: RN license required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; 2+ years of experience preferred for advanced roles.
- Competencies: Critical thinking, patient assessment, communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.
