Role Overview:
This position involves providing skilled outpatient physical therapy services focused on hand treatment within a multidisciplinary team. The therapist conducts evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans, and administers therapy to improve patient function and reduce pain. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers is essential, including making referrals when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and adjust treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment requirements.
- Educate and collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Delegate tasks to assistants, techs, and students based on their skill levels.
- Complete accurate documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
- Conduct assessments, reassessments, and consultations for physical therapy services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (PT); Master’s Degree preferred.
- Valid Physical Therapist License.
- Experience in hand therapy is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
