Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an emergency room setting, treating patients of all ages with a focus on stabilizing complex medical conditions. The role requires assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting patient- and family-centered care, including education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities, along with ongoing professional development.
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans with clear goals, ensuring communication across care continuum.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
- Working in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.
Qualifications:
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior emergency department experience required.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
