Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting complex procedures across various specialties including trauma, orthopedics, plastics, and reconstructive surgery. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on post-treatment needs, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care within established standards.
- Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and home care.
- Participate in promoting patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and cultural factors.
- Maintain a safe work environment, with alertness as a critical component of the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licenses: RN license required.
- Experience: No previous experience necessary; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
