Role Overview: Provides direct patient care on a 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Participates in quality, safety, and regulatory activities, and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Maintains a safe environment and adheres to standards of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- RN license required
- Experience in Med Surg is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years for higher-level roles
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills
