Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 43-bed Med/Surg unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and proactive communication of care plans are essential. The nurse assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. This safety-sensitive role requires alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced levels
- Skills: Critical thinking, communication, teamwork, patient education, and safety awareness
