Role Overview:
This position is for a Registered Nurse working in a Transitional Care Unit within a Level I Trauma Center. It offers flexible, PRN shifts, with two twelve-hour shifts every six weeks, focusing on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with nursing standards.
Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
Develop and execute personalized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, considering patient preferences and barriers.
Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, applying critical nursing skills to deliver holistic care.
Work in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and safe practices at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: RN license required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
