Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift – Oncology (Acute Care)

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care. They utilize evidence-based practices, perform comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes. They collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals through clear communication and relationship-based care, ensuring cultural competence and respect for diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive patient care tailored to individual needs.
  • Partner with patients and families using various communication methods and keep them informed.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary teamwork and timely documentation.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practices.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a skilled, future-ready nursing workforce.
  • Participate in protocol development, resource management, and compliance with policies and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with preferred direct patient care background.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Proficiency in technology and basic computer skills; excellent time management skills.
