Role Overview: Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural environments under supervision, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and functional operating room.
- Responsibilities: Supports surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining equipment, ensuring availability and proper functioning of tools, and adhering to safety standards.
- Qualifications: High School Diploma required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program; certification or licensure in surgical technology.
- Skills & Experience: At least one year of surgical technician experience; preferred experience as a surgical tech; certifications from recognized boards or military/public health programs; current BLS certification.
Certifications & Licenses: Valid surgical technician certification from recognized boards or military/public health programs, or relevant licensure. Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. A basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
