Job Summary
Performs specialized technical duties in a surgical or procedural setting under supervision. Assists the surgical team by managing equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating room environment and proper functioning of all necessary equipment.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Experience:
- Preferred: One year as a Surgical Tech
- Certification/Licensure:
- Must have one of the following:
- Surgical Technician Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Surgical Technician Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing
- United States Military or U.S. Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – must be obtained within ninety days of hire
- Must have one of the following:
