Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely, accurately, and with dignity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Documenting accurately in MAR/TAR in real-time
• Monitoring residents during and after medication passes
• Observing and reporting health changes, refusals, or concerns promptly
• Performing narcotic counts and maintaining medication carts and rooms
• Adhering to infection control and safety standards

The role emphasizes preventing medication errors, early detection of health issues, and ensuring resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care
