Certified Medical Assistant – CMA

Role Overview: This position involves providing outpatient care as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), supporting providers in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities: Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist with patient preparations, perform direct care tasks such as EKGs and wound dressings, and support minor surgical procedures.
Prepare and administer medications, collect lab specimens, perform phlebotomy, and support laboratory functions as trained.
Handle reception duties, document patient records, coordinate appointments, complete referrals, and collect co-payments.
Assist with patient education, inventory supplies, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control protocols.
Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives while ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification through a governing body (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA) is mandatory.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills are essential. Ability to perform clinical procedures competently and adhere to safety protocols is required.
