Role: Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and supporting discharge planning.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute data to assessments and care plans within scope of practice.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Reinforce patient and family education, and participate in discharge planning.
- Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.
- Participate in evidence-based practice decisions and provide input on team performance.
- Precept and mentor new staff and students in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a nursing specialty training program, with the ability to provide compassionate, safe, and effective patient care. Strong collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills are essential.
Work Environment & Schedule: Clinical setting with hours typically from 7 am to 7:30 pm, including every other weekend and holiday requirements.
