Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Per Diem

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquiring and analyzing data for interpretation by licensed practitioners. They independently execute or assist with procedures, ensuring patient safety and proper documentation in compliance with laws and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed; evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
  • Verify data transfer and archival; educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside radiologic tasks (e.g., OR, ICU, Endoscopy).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; those hired after a specific date need to progress to level 2 within 24 months.
