Role Overview: The MRI Technologist I performs imaging procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety and quality in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, position, and explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring safety standards.
- Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
- Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as needed.
- Enter data into radiology systems, process images, and identify anatomy on scans.
- Conduct equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
- Manage supplies, support physicians with radiological needs, and handle non-controlled medications for imaging.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and system operation.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a clinical environment.
