Role: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating patient respiratory care to ensure optimal patient and family experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer routine therapies including aerosolized medications, oxygen, and secretion management.
- Manage mechanical ventilators and monitor patients using non-invasive tools like pulse oximeters and ETCO monitors.
- Provide patient and family education on disease management.
- Assist with emergency airway management and intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients.
- Support invasive procedures such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy and invasive line placements.
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Take on leadership roles such as Shift Coordinator and serve as a preceptor for trainees.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program (required).
- Experience with protocol-driven care, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with critical care teams.
- Strong communication, assessment, and technical skills.
- Ability to function autonomously and adhere to safety standards.
