Role Overview: This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiac care unit, adhering to established standards and the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, delegates tasks appropriately, and promotes teamwork to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities: Deliver treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures; perform assessments; address patients’ physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs; develop and revise individualized care plans; evaluate intervention effectiveness; coordinate discharge planning and patient education; troubleshoot equipment issues; participate in unit-based decision-making and quality initiatives; and support a safe care environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing; experience in Cardiac Special Care, including titrating medication IVs, BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen; strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
Key Duties: Provide comprehensive nursing care in a 14-bed adult cardiac unit, respond to changing patient needs, participate in safety and quality programs, and support organizational values of kindness, excellence, learning, innovation, and safety.
