Registered Nurse – Clinical Team Coordinator

Role Overview: The Clinical Team Coordinator RN oversees nursing care on their assigned unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. They provide direct patient care, supervise staff, assist with orientation, conduct performance evaluations, and manage staffing, supplies, and patient triage. They facilitate communication among team members, promote evidence-based practices, and support unit policies and regulations. They also address patient and family concerns, follow incident reports, and ensure proper documentation.


Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and mentoring staff, conducting performance appraisals, and managing staffing and supplies.
  • Communicating care activities, policies, and significant issues to relevant personnel.
  • Supporting a positive work environment aligned with Magnet principles, fostering professional growth, and promoting evidence-based practices.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal resource utilization.
  • Handling patient and family concerns, incident follow-up, and documentation.

  • Qualifications & Skills: Enrolled in or graduate of a Bachelor’s or Specialty Nursing program, with critical thinking skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and the capacity to make quick decisions in stressful situations. Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
