Charge CT Radiology Technologist (Days)

Role Overview:

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily in CT, on adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, executes studies independently, and assists staff in complex cases. They oversee shift operations, manage workflow, and serve as a clinical resource and mentor for team members, including students and new employees. In the absence of a supervisor, they assume leadership responsibilities and ensure proper communication and supplies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
  • Performing studies independently, including portable and on-call exams
  • Managing daily workflow, assignments, and priorities
  • Problem solving and assisting with difficult exams
  • Mentoring staff and developing training programs
  • Serving as a clinical liaison and maintaining supplies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or Trade School equivalency
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))
  • 2+ years of experience; supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • Licenses and certifications such as RTR, CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
  • Preferred experience of 5-10 years and CPR certification
