Neuro Medicine Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a specialized Neuro Medicine and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation within nursing standards. The position promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across teams, and participating in quality and safety initiatives. The role offers opportunities to enhance clinical, assessment, problem-solving, and time management skills in a diverse neuro-surgical environment, including seizure monitoring and multi-system diagnoses.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • RN license required; no prior experience necessary, but two years of experience is preferred.
  • Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (eligible for certification).
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work safely and adapt to flexible scheduling.

Key Duties:

  • Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Educate patients and families on care management and medication administration.
  • Participate in professional development and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to a healing environment by promoting safety and quality care.
