Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care within a Med Surg Cardiac unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on managing illnesses and post-treatment needs, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients is essential. Critical nursing skills for assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers, are required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Experience in Med Surg and/or Telemetry is preferred, with at least 2 years for higher roles
- Ability to work safely and alertly in a fast-paced environment
