Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

Role Overview:

This position involves performing advanced echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography, to aid in diagnosing cardiac conditions. The sonographer evaluates patient history, captures detailed images using GE equipment, and collaborates with healthcare teams to support clinical assessments. Responsibilities include acquiring 3D, right heart strain, and transcatheter imaging, analyzing findings, and preparing preliminary reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalency
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in echocardiography or related fields is preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, technical proficiency with imaging modalities, and effective communication
  • Key Duties:

    • Perform complex echocardiography exams in various clinical settings
    • Evaluate patient data and identify abnormalities
    • Apply independent judgment during procedures
    • Review images, synthesize results, and contribute to diagnostic reports
    • Communicate with medical teams for patient care collaboration
