Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Role Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized pulmonary progressive care unit.
They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, collaborating with an interprofessional team to ensure effective treatment for patients with conditions like lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, ventilator dependence, and related issues.
The nurse educates patients and families on managing illnesses, promotes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and develops individualized care plans aligned with standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN license
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Key Duties:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment and treatment planning
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
  • Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive care plans
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients
