Registered Nurse – OR

Role Overview: This position involves providing comprehensive inpatient nursing care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, while addressing patients’ physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop, coordinate, and implement individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication and patient education.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and formulate care plans based on established standards.
  • Deliver direct patient care, monitor responses, and revise interventions accordingly.
  • Coordinate with physicians, ancillary staff, and other team members to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in evidence-based practice decisions and quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure patient safety and promote positive patient and family experiences.
  • Engage in unit and organizational safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in cardiac surgery is advantageous, especially for cardiac team roles.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing activities effectively.
  • Commitment to compassionate care, safety, and continuous learning.

Additional Information: The role involves working in a clinical environment with responsibilities including on-call duties, weekend and holiday shifts. Candidates should demonstrate accountability for job-specific tasks and adherence to policies, contributing to a high standard of patient care and team collaboration.
