Role: MRI Technologist I, with potential for advancement to MRI Technologist II based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and clinical history documentation.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to safety principles like ALARA to ensure patient safety and image quality.
- Prepare, administer, and document medications in compliance with laws and policies.
- Evaluate images for accuracy and quality, verify data transfer, and assist with post-processing as needed.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety protocols to minimize risks.
- Support licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventional techniques, including selecting pulse sequences and ensuring safety compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
- Knowledge of MRI safety standards and procedures.
- Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain safety and quality standards.
Key Duties: Ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and compliance with protocols; support education efforts; and assist with MRI procedures in a clinical environment.
