Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and support systems like the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, adhering to evidence-based standards and professional codes of ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that considers cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork, supporting performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence-based practice and research activities.
- Support resource management by developing protocols, participating in data collection, and optimizing care delivery processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience in direct patient care.
- Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelors preferred).
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in clinical technology and critical thinking abilities.
