Care Manager

Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior care environment, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team. Key responsibilities include managing shift assignments, monitoring resident changes, providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with Individualized Service Plans (ISP), and promoting safety and regulatory adherence. The role also involves mentoring new staff, supporting onboarding, and fostering a compassionate, professional atmosphere.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
  • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
  • Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care environments

Key Duties:

  • Lead shift operations, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
  • Provide direct care support when needed
  • Coach staff on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
  • Monitor resident health and communicate concerns promptly
  • Support team onboarding and promote a safe, compliant environment

This role combines frontline caregiving with leadership responsibilities to deliver compassionate, professional senior care.
