Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides essential nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time
- Monitor resident symptoms, report adverse reactions or refusals promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), transcribe physician orders, and support care plan updates
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
