Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity in a senior living environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Documenting all medication activities accurately and promptly in MAR/TAR
• Monitoring residents during and after medication passes for adverse reactions or symptoms
• Reporting concerns, refusals, and health changes immediately
• Conducting narcotic counts and maintaining organized medication carts and rooms
• Adhering to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, medication administration certification, CPR and First Aid certifications. Strong documentation, communication skills, and experience in senior care are preferred. The position plays a vital part in resident safety and health management.
