Role Overview: Provides and evaluates mammographic and general radiological procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates all mammography units independently and performs screening, diagnostic, and special imaging exams.
- Ensures proper image quality through correct positioning, compression, and technique selection.
- Prepares examination rooms and assists radiologists during procedures.
- Communicates effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Maintains quality control by performing scheduled procedures and documenting results.
- Develops films consistently, maintains darkroom integrity, and manages supplies.
- Participates in training of new staff and students, and complies with regulatory standards including the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required), with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential.
