LPN – Practical Nurse – Acute Care Trauma Unit

Role Overview: The Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities: Contribute to assessments, reinforce patient and family education, coordinate discharge planning, administer treatments and medications, evaluate care effectiveness, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in evidence-based practice decisions, mentor new staff, and support patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a specialty nursing training program, with the ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based care. Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills are essential.

Additional Duties: Engage in unit-based decision-making, contribute to performance appraisals, and maintain compliance with organizational policies. Work typically involves evening, night, and weekend shifts in a supportive, high-quality environment.
