Role: Coordinates and supervises nursing care on a designated unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care.
Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care, supervises staff, assists with orientation, conducts performance appraisals, manages staffing and supplies, and addresses performance issues. Facilitates communication among team members, supports evidence-based practices, mentors staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and handles patient concerns. Participates in policy development and unit improvements, promotes a positive work environment aligned with Magnet principles, and ensures proper documentation and incident follow-up.
Qualifications & Skills: Enrolled in or graduated from a nursing program, with preferred cardiac and leadership experience. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Ability to manage resources effectively and promote a collaborative team environment.
Work Environment: Clinical setting with responsibilities that include patient care and staff supervision.
