Role Overview: Provides compassionate, patient-centered care as an Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), contributing to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a clinical setting. Promotes safety, maximizes patient satisfaction, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs. Mentors new staff and participates in evidence-based practice decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policies.
- Assess physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and support throughout hospitalization.
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness and modify care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to address patient needs proactively.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and provide input for performance evaluations.
- Mentor and precept new staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Interest in Cardiac Nursing Care; prior cardiac experience preferred but willing to learn.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends.
