Registered Nurse – Oncology Unit

Job Summary

Seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a clinical environment. The role involves assessing patients, developing and coordinating individualized care plans, administering treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, and evaluating intervention effectiveness. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and proactive problem-solving are essential. The nurse will participate in decision-making, quality improvement, and safety initiatives, ensuring optimal patient and family experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete assessments and address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Formulate, implement, and evaluate care plans, including patient education and discharge planning.
  • Provide direct care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostics, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to resolve patient needs and improve care delivery.
  • Participate in evidence-based practice and quality safety programs.
  • Coordinate care in specialized units such as oncology, with training in chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant care.
  • Promote patient safety, satisfaction, and adaptive responses through compassionate interactions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required), Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
