Maintains knowledge of various CT systems, clinical histories, and major organ and vascular systems to select appropriate protocols.
Prepares and positions patients, uses protective shielding, and selects correct technical factors for optimal imaging.
Performs CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging, including specialized studies like TAVR and EVAR.
Ensures patient safety, quality scans, and adherence to radiation dose protocols.
Maintains understanding of pharmacology and physiology to support quality imaging and patient care.
Interprets technical factors to optimize scan quality and efficiency.
Work occurs in a clinical setting, requiring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requires graduation from a specialized training program.
