Nurse – Minimally Invasive PCU

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced, 28-bed Minimally Invasive Progressive Care Unit (PCU), specializing in post-operative and intermediate care patients, including bariatric, hernia, mastectomy, and other minimally invasive procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities for professional growth.
  • Perform frequent assessments, monitor post-operative patients, including tracheostomy and occasional overflow cases.
  • Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN licensure required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree minimum, Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Experience is not required; 2+ years of experience and supervisor experience are preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a high-alert environment.
