Clinical Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery

Role: Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities within established standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN licensure; no prior experience required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Key Duties:

  • Care for diverse orthopedic patients, including those undergoing joint replacement, spine surgery, trauma, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal oncology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient education to support recovery and well-being.
