Clinical Nurse – Pediatric ER

Role Overview:

Provides comprehensive direct patient care in a pediatric trauma emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating families on managing illnesses, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.

Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.

Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications include a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN licensure; a Bachelor’s degree and two years of pediatric or emergency experience are preferred.
