Clinical Pharmacist Specialist – Ambulatory Care

Role Overview

This position is for a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist supporting outpatient clinical services within an academic medical center. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to optimize medication therapy, provide comprehensive disease state management, and improve access to specialty medications.

Key responsibilities include

Assessing patients’ health status and medication profiles to ensure optimal outcomes

Monitoring therapy and documenting activities

Participating in program development, quality initiatives, and research

Contributing to performance improvement and drug use evaluation

Educating and mentoring pharmacy staff, residents, and students

Implementing targeted drug cost reduction strategies

Qualifications required are a Doctorate in Pharmacy,

minimum of 2 years of experience in medication therapy services in MO

, and licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Preferred candidates have 2-5 years of relevant experience.
