Clinical Nurse – Inpatient Psychiatry

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Collaborates with an interprofessional team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Maintains a safety-conscious approach, adhering to regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities: Supports a healing environment, educates patients/families, participates in safety and compliance activities, and engages in professional development. Develops comprehensive care plans with clear goals, ensuring communication among team members and patients. Assesses patient needs holistically, including emotional and cultural aspects.

Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree, RN licensure, with preferred Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience. No supervisor experience required. The role emphasizes safety awareness and collaboration skills.
