Clinical Nurse PRN

Role Overview: The Clinical Nurse provides direct patient care in a 38-bed GI/GU Surgical Unit, caring for a diverse population from teenagers to seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within nursing standards.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
  • Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development.
  • Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and population-specific needs, addressing patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licensure as an RN is mandatory.
  • No prior experience required; two years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills are essential.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive environment.
