Clinical Nurse – PACU Weekend Option

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, critical care environment within a 90-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses will develop individualized care plans, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of an RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Level 1 critical care or PACU experience preferred; new graduates considered
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role

Key Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment management
  • Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Contribute to developing and communicating care plans
  • Engage in professional development and collaboration with team members
