Role Overview:
We are seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the night shift team in providing high-quality respiratory care. This position involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of respiratory treatments for infants and adults, utilizing advanced clinical skills. The therapist will perform procedures such as mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide delivery, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary function testing, while serving as a resource within the patient care team.
Key responsibilities include effective communication, patient and team education, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and supporting critical care activities like ECMO support and bronchoscopy. The role requires independent application of clinical expertise, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications include an associate degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited program, Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT certification, and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS). A bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position emphasizes collaborative teamwork, continuous learning, and commitment to patient safety.
