Role Overview:
This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient treatments. The role requires applying advanced clinical expertise, troubleshooting, and supporting critical care procedures such as ECMO, ventilator management, bronchoscopies, and sleep studies. The respiratory therapist will educate patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring safe, developmentally appropriate care that complies with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively through documentation and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide education on respiratory treatments and procedures to patients, families, and staff.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures following established standards and guidelines.
- Utilize advanced skills in critical care settings, supporting various specialized procedures and support systems.
- Seek continuous learning opportunities and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS).
- Experience: No prior experience required; able to work independently and as part of a team.
