Role Overview:
This position is for an OR Staff Nurse at an outpatient surgery center, responsible for delivering direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses develop and document individualized care plans, collaborate with the healthcare team, and assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate patient care and education on post-treatment needs.
- Participate in safety and quality initiatives and professional development activities.
- Develop and communicate comprehensive care plans aligned with standards of nursing care.
- Assess patients holistically, respecting cultural, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Maintain safety and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
