Neurology Nurse Manager

Role Overview:

Provides patient care coordination within a specialized rehabilitation unit, managing adult to geriatric patients with conditions such as strokes, orthopedic issues, neurological disorders, and trauma.

Responsibilities include:

  • Hires, trains, supervises staff, and evaluates performance to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Participates in staffing, budgeting, and resource management to support operational efficiency.
  • Delivers and oversees patient care based on individualized treatment plans, documenting according to policies.
  • Develops collaborative care plans from assessments, diagnoses, and medical treatments.
  • Manages staff scheduling, payroll, and communication, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures departmental productivity aligns with leadership objectives.

Qualifications:

  • RN license required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of nursing experience; preferred bachelor’s degree in nursing with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills & Requirements:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for managing staff and delivering quality patient care. Flexibility to assist during emergent night shifts is preferred.

Additional experience in neurology is advantageous.
