Clinical Nurse – Outpatient Gyn/Chemo Center

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating them on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use. Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients, ensuring effective communication across care settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
  • Use critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and adapt care accordingly.
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate care plans with team members and patients’ families.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing diploma or associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RN licensure.
  • Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience, oncology background, and chemo certification.

Additional Details:

This role is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices. The position involves working on the 13th Floor in a specialized outpatient cancer treatment center, with no weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities.
