Inpatient Surgical Nurse – Night Shift

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in safety, quality, and professional development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
  • Ensures communication of care plans across the continuum and promotes a healing environment.
  • Participates in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, and the ability to work safely and alertly.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in Med/Surg is preferred.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills.
